An C18 front to a C17 timber-framed and plastered house. Two storeys, attics and cellars. Two window range, double-hung sashes. The first storey windows have glazing bars in the upper sashes and are in flush cased frames. The ground storey has two, three-light bays and a central doorway united by a triglyph frieze and cornice which runs across the whole front. Roof tiled, with one gabled dormer.
The interior has exposed ceiling beams and old farmhouse doors.
All the listed buildings from No 19 to No 41 on the west side and No 4 to No 20 on the east side form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close.
