Description


BRADFORD STREET 1. 885 (East Side) BOCKING Nos 6 and 8 TL 7623 2/170 II GV

2. A late C18 or early C19 timber-framed and plastered house possibly incorporating an earlier building, with a cross wing at the south end. 2 storeys and cellars. The front is panelled, pebbledashed on the ground storey and plaster on the 1st storey. 4 window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars in the upper sashes, in flush cased frames. 2 doorways with shouldered architraves, pulvinated friezes and pediments. 2 gabled wings extend east at the rear. Roofs tiled.

All the listed buildings from No 4 to No 20 on the east side and No 19 to No 41 on the west side form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close.
