Churchend Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C18. Brick, return face, left, rendered, stone slate roof to gables
but with hipped end on return, left, and with parapet in newer brickwork to main
front, stone moulded cornice and terminal pine cones. L-plan plus later insert in
re-entrant angle. Two storeys, 3-windowed, 3-light casements with flat arched heads
to lights, under segmental arches, central 6-panel door and fanlight in stone Roman
Doric doorcase with open pediment. Return wing, left, in 3-storeys with small 2-light
casements over 3-light, as front. Large canted bay, right return with good sashes
with glazing bars.
