HENDERSKELFE WALLED GARDEN SE 7169 Castle Howard 12/85 Gate piers to central north-south lane GV II* Gate piers. Early C18. Probably by Sir John Vanbrugh. Limestone ashlar. Approximately 5 metres in height. Pulvinated rustication to columns with acanthus frieze and moulded cornices, surmounted by bead rimmed urns with foliate scrolls.
