Public house. C17 or early C18. Extended and altered C20. Red brick,
possibly timber framed, whitewashed and rendered. Hipped tiled roof. 3
window front. 2 storeys and attic. C20 projecting ground floor with
entrance to left and a canted bay. Ground floor left cross glazed
casement with a segmental head. Plinth, plat band stepped up to left of
centre over original entrance. 3 first floor cross glazed casements.
Bracketed eaves added. 2 hipped 2 light dormers. Original left end
external stack with plat band continued, offsets, relieving arch in
shaft. Right return, 1 window with C20 addition to rear right. To rear:
external stack to centre with offset and recessed panel in shaft, 2
light casement, 1 hipped dormer. Flat roofed additions of no special
interest. Interior: ground floor stop chamfered binding beam, first
floor not inspected.
