Stables. Probably late C19 for Viscount Mountgarret. Coursed squared
gritstone, grey slate roof. 2 storeys, approximately 5 bays with projecting
3-storey clock tower to left. Stable door right with mounting block to
left; deeply recessed windows with blind round arches above; paired and
single 9-pane windows to first floor. Hipped roof with large stack forward
of ridge, right. Clock tower - carriage arch to ground floor, covered large
porch with cast-iron trusses to front, small rectangular first-floor window.
Clock below deep eaves; pyramid roof surmounted by weather-vane. Included
for group value.
