Public House. Probably early C17 and built as an inn. C17-18
bay on left end. C18 rear extension on right. Timber frame.
C18 red brick casing. Plain tile roof with 2 ridge stacks. 1
storey and attics. The roof has 3 regularly spaced C19 hipped
dormers with 3-light glazing bar casements. Ground floor has
door on right, enclosed by C19/20 timber frame porch; C20 canted
bay left of door. Segmental headed casements each end of
elevation. Interior shows 4 bays. The right 3 bays have clasped
purlin roof with curved wind braces. Some reused C17 panelling
to 1st floor, said to have been brought from Salisbury Hall.
