Chest tomb. Early to mid-C19. Sandstone ashlar. Moulded plinth,
sunken side-panels with flanking cable-fluted pilaster strips, raised
end-panels, shaped quarter corner-balusters, and moulded cornice to flat
top. To Thomas Brown (died 1847) and Thomas Brown (died 1853). This
memorial is particularly notable for its high quality carved script with
many flourishes. This is a type common to the area [cf: Edwards and
Gwilliam memorials (q.v.)].
