at Nine Ashes Farm

Implement shed. Early C19. Timberframed and weatherboarded 6-
bay tall implement shed on high red brick plinth, alongside road
and with arcaded open side facing into yard to N of the West
Barn, which it adjoins. Low pitched slate roof on original well-
carpentered wide span queen post roof. Jowled queen posts and 2
purlins on each slope. Unjowled wall posts with curved braces to
cambered tie beams. Front arcade plate propped in centre by a
lower cambered cross-piece. An historic early C19 farm building
in its original condition. Part of the picturesque group of farm
buildings along-the roadside and an important part of The Model
Covered Homestead at Nine Ashes.
