Farmhouse. C15 hall house, altered and extended in later C17
Cased in red brick late C18. Roughcast right gable end and stair
turret on rear left. Left gable end with exposed timber frame.
2 storeys and attics. 4 C18 wood casements, those of ground
floor segmental-headed. Floor band. C20 gabled porch. 1 C18
hipped dormer. Interior is 3 bays, the 2 on right formerly an
open hall. Timber frame chimney stack inserted in C16. Floor
inserted in later C17. Two-and-a-half storey wing added on left,
together with stair tower and lateral chimney stack. Stairs
intact. Stack has 3 square shafts. (RCHM Typescript).
