Later C17. Tall plastered house timberframed with steep gabled roof and C19
shopfront to W of door. 2 storeys cellar and attics. 1+3 windows.
Formerly symmetrical front with 2 gabled dormers in old red tiled roof.
Moulded eaves cornice breaking forward over each window. C18 flush box
sashes with moulded, architraves, 6/6 panes of crown glass in thick glazing
bars. Up 3 stone steps 6 panel door, top 2 glazed. Broad frame with
architrave. Flat moulded hood on heavy cut brackets with small steep
hipped ogee metal roof. 1 window extension on W has C18 details but lower
slate gabled roof at same eaves height, C19, 2 window and central door
shopfront with pilasters trusses and fascia. Early, C19, 8/8 flush sash to
E of door. Ground floor of E gable weatherboarded. Plastered above.
Contemporary 2 storey rear wing at E end with lateral stack at junction and
old red tile and weatherboarding. C18 flush boxed sash window 6/6 with thick
glazing bars on W face. C18 single storey brick kitchen with pantiled roof
adjoining rear wing with chimney at junction. Single storey weatherboarded
and slated stable adjoins. Large single storey lean-to extension to rear of
main house with slate roof.
