Railway bridge over road. Circa 1860. Boasted squared stone (probably Chilmark), with interior face of arch in red
brickwork, stilted semi- circular arch with stepped extrados and keystone dressed proud; impost course between battered
and raked pilasters; elliptical raked abutments parapet moulded and crowned with handrail of rail section uprights with
rods threaded through. An unusually graceful and architecturally well- considered bridge, for the London and South
Western Railway, which opened in 1860.
