River Yeo

Road bridge over river. C1860. Rivetted and plated iron construction concrete and stone abutments. Central columns on
stone bases (square on plan) set in river, which passes through on skew; composite cross girder carrying main beams
forming two flat arches. Handrail of "T" section uprights with rods threaded through. Unspoilt example of typical
construction of the day, comparing well with the two stone railway bridges close by (qv).
