Gate piers, gates and churchyard wall. Circa 1738, and C19. Gate piers
and gates: c1738, probably by the Davies Brothers of Bersham
near Wrexham; 2 piers flanking entrance to Broad Walk with another pier
at right-angles forming separate gateway; square section with three moulded
rectangular bands to each pier, moulded plinths and capping surmounted
by ornamental urns; delicate wrought-iron gates have scrollwork and floral
enrichment to main pair and urn-capped standards and scrollwork to
subsidiary set. Low regularly coursed wall with stone coping, interrupted
by pair of C19 piers with blind Gothic tracery, links gate piers with
gate piers to south of Church of St. Oswald (q.v.). B.O.E, p. 223.
