2/175 Owlbury Hall

Shown on O.S. map as Owlbury.
House. Circa 1600 and C18. Rendered timber frame with later painted brick
additions and partial refacing; old tile roof, right-hand block hipped to
right and hipped with gablet to left, left-hand block hipped to front and
gabled to rear. Irregular plan with probably 2 framed bays to left. 2
storeys. Large external end stack to left and central stack to front.
Irregular fenestration with segmental headed C19 wooden casements. Central
2 storey porch to right-hand block with segmental arched opening and boarded
door. Right-hand elevation: 2 bays;glazing bar sash openings with gauged
heads. Rear: circa 1600 wing with jettied gable end on brackets.
Interior: close studding and decorative lozenge framing in gable end in
roof; part of C17 staircase with shaped splat balusters; ground floor cross-
beamed ceiling. R.C.H.M.; N.M.R.
