House. Late medieval open hall house, chimney and floor inserted in hall
in late C16 or early C17, lower E extension dated '1777' on beam. South
kitchen wing late C18 with service rooms on its W side. Rear extensions
1966. Timber frame roughcast generally but exposed with red brick infill
to lower E extension. Steep old red tile roofs. An irregular 2-storeys
house facing N with large internal chimney with entrance beside it, and
1½-storeys half-hipped E extension. 2-storeys extensions to rear. (RCHM
