of Church of St. Mary

GV II

Sundial. Dated 1776. Dressed grey sandstone. Square base of 3
stone steps, top step with moulded nosing; baluster with gadrooned
lower parts and square top with copper dial plate inscribed: "The
Wife of Thomas Rider" (?) "Broome-Hill 1776 / Move the slide for
the sun to shine through the hole on the inner Circle of Degrees /
Rider /Fecit", copper gnomon with scrolled support.
