South aspect. The clerestory windows have Perpendicular Gothic tracery in Decorated Gothic transoms with head moulds and grotesque mask stops. On the south transept (R Brandon architect, 1851), the gargoyles range has been extended to avoid the monument below. (Water is collected in a galvanised iron tank). South sransept window has cusped interlaced tracery. There is a cusped trefoil light above it. The angle buttresses have gables on their steps, and they have cusped decoration inside their hoods. all of Brandons buttresses here have these features. (Photo Sept 2012).
