House. Early C16, greatly extended in mid C19 (RCHM Typescript).
Enclosed by a high flint and brick wall. A large 2 storeys and
attic plastered house with unequal gables of 2 parallel ranges
facing S towards the road. Brick wing set back to right hand.
Mostly a C19 brick house incorporating a 2 storeys early C16 wing
formerly jettied. Small open hall replaced by mid Victorian 2
storeys and attic gabled block set parallel to the older
structure. Inserted C19 fireplaces. (RCHM Typescript). Large S
gable projects with porch in angle. 2-light and 3-light casement
windows and small window in apex of larger gable. Cusped
bargeboards. Dripboards over windows. An historic C16 house
enlarged in C19. Part of a picturesque group with its barns in
this part of the Conservation Area.
