Farmhouse, now a house. Early C18 with mid and late C19 and C20
additions and alterations. Coursed and squared ironstone and
brick, with limestone ashlar dressings, with slate roofs. Coped
gables, 4 coped stone gable stacks. 2 storeys plus attics, 4
bays. T-plan. East front has to right a glazing bar sash flanked
to left by a larger triple sash and to right by a plain sash, all
with keystoned splayed heads. Above, 4 C19 plain sashes of
various sizes, all with keystoned splayed heads. Above again, 3
slate hung gabled dormers each with a 2 light casement. North
front has a gabled wing to left, with a full width lean-to porch
with C20 door flanked by single glazing bar sashes. Beyond, to
left, a slotted casement. Above, a small garret casement. Rear
wing north wall has an off-centre panelled door, flanked to left
by a C19 casement and to right by a sash. Above, 2 plain sashes.
All the windows have keystoned heads. Return angle to left has a
full width lean-to porch. To right, a door. To its left, 2
casements. Above, 2 small sashes. South gable has 2 sashes and
above, to left, a similar sash. Above it, a smaller sash to the
garret. All these sashes have keystoned heads. Beyond, to left,
set back rear wing has a sash, and above it a gabled dormer.
Beyond, to left, a 2 storey flat roofed C20 addition. Return
angle has to left a door, and to right a 3 light mullioned
casement with hood mould. Above, 2 small sashes.
