South porch was built in 1887 in honour of Queen Victorias jubilee. -Anno jubileo 1887 aedificatum est- is engraved on the west side. The east side has -Feare God Honor Ye Kinge- with holy crosses, around V I 8 R, for Victoria Imperatrix et Regina (Empress and Queen). Such masonry was mass produced for the occasion, and is ignored by Pevsner as being without architectural, ie artistic, merit. (Photo Mar 2008).
