Farmhouse. Mid-C18 with late C19 alterations and additions. Brick with
sandstone dressings, plain tiled roof and parapets with kneelers at gable
ends. Long rectangular plan aligned north-west/south-east having three
large external chimneys with off-sets at rear. Two storeys, attic with
dormers, and cellar; sandstone band between storeys, 2-course band at eaves
level and also dentilled eaves cornice. South-west front elevation: five
bays with sandstone quoins at ends; windows are all C19 casements with
cambered heads; ground floor has a 4-light, two 3-light and a 2-light
window; first floor has three 3-light windows and a blind window; main
entrance in fourth bay has an open pediment, entablature and pilastered
surround and a 6-panelled door, two panels of which are raised and fielded.
A C19 single-storey addition adjoins the first bay. Attic lights in gable
ends. Interior not inspected. C19 and C20 additions at rear.
