1890. Commemorative building in the Arts and Crafts style, comprising a main block of
6 bays, with a dwelling attached at the east end. Steeply-pitched tile roof, and
½-hipped tall ½-dormers, brick dentil eaves. Red brick walling in English bond, with
darker headers, plinth, 2 buttresses. Casements, one original of 3 lights with cusped
heads, the others later metal frames. The west gable has a central shafted stack,
with a tall window on each side, and there is a gabled porch at its north side. The
house part has tile-hung walling, in plain and scalloped bands, a large gable
containing an oriel window, a tiled (and hipped) door hood on large brackets, above a
plain door, and outshots with small openings. The chimney stacks are ribbed. The
rainwater heads are dated.
