Stables. A turret now removed was dated 1836, but the building may be somewhat
earlier, C18. Coursed ironstone rubble with slate roofs. 2 storeyed. 5 bays
with outer slightly projecting gables, containing ground floor door with
architrave and key stone and 2-light casement window above. Stone coping and
ball finial. Central section has 3 wide segmental arches with stressed kneelers
and keystones, and a 2-light casement window with architrave and keystone
on each side of the central arch. Over this was formerly the turret. Outer
gables form wings to rear, a single door on inner face and 2 wood casements
above, only those to the east in original openings with keystones. 3 oculi
in outer wall at first floor level. End gables also coped with ball finials.
