1861 Tudor vernacular, adjoining Union Street Almshouses (qv) and apparently part
of the design. Gabled break to left 2 gables to right. 2 storeys rubble; tiled
roofs. 3 two light mullion casements 1st floor, 2 three light mullion casements
on ground floor; all with diamond leaded lattices. Double porch in angle with
pointed arches to separate doorways.
Nos 16 to 19 (consec), incorporating the former National Schools form a group with
Nos 1 to 4 (consec) Union Street Almshouses, Street Wall fronting Almshouses, No
9 and St James's Hall, Union Street
