3/20 St. Andrews and
- St. Patricks
GV II
Originally one house, now 2 cottages. C15 or early C16 core, considerably
altered in C17 and C19-C20. Timber framed, roughcast render, thatched roof. 2
storeys and attic. 5 windows, mainly C20 casements with some older windows to
the rear; St. Andrews has 2 mid C20 sash windows on the ground floor. 2
doorways with C20 doors, one with open porch and one with thatched hood. 2
internal stacks. Some blocked mullioned windows internally. St. Andrews has
a coupled rafter roof with evidence for a collar purlin: this would appear to
be a reconstruction of the medieval roof at a higher level.
