GV II

Former inn, now subdivided into 3 dwellings in a somewhat complex manner.
Core probably C16; main block rebuilt early C19. Older part set back to right
hand side, much altered: timber framed and plastered, pantiled roof; main
block with white brick facade, colourwashed red brick returns and slated roof.
2 storeys. Asymmetrical 7-bay facade, the windows more closely-spaced on the
left hand side; the quoins and the central entrance bay are set slightly
forward. Sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames, flat brick arches;
one blank panel to first floor. The entrance is set within a slightly inset
semi-circular headed recess: double 3-panel doors and semi-circular fanlight
with glazing bars, both inset with panelled reveals; reeded architrave with
corner roundels. The centre first floor window is set within a segmental-
arched recess. Wide overhanging eaves on paired brackets. Set back to the
left hand side is a former stable block, now part of The Old Prince.
