Canal-head grotto. Early C18. Brick core with stone and flint rustication with some shell work. Central arch flanked by two lower arches, standing at the head of a long formal canal and concealing reservoir behind. Part of the formal garden layout of the early C 18. Valentines Park is included in the English Heritage Register of Parks and Gardens at grade II.
