4/21 Dial House, Hand- Rails attached and 26.4.68. cottage to left
GV II House. Rear wing early C17, main range 1769, altered in early C19. Ground floor grey headers with red brick dressings,first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on stone plinth with moulded wood eaves cornice. Roof half-hipped to right. Red brick ridge stack to left end and rear stack to right. Irregular fenestration of one small painted window towards lift end. Rest of facade double-fronted; central glazing-bar sash with tripartite sash on either side. Canted bay windows on red brick bases to ground floor. Half-glazed and panelled door off-centre to right, but central to double front, up 4 steps, with flat corniced bracketted hood. Plain handrails with fleur-de-lys to end shafts. Datestone 1769 on chimney stack to left. Later 2-storey cottage to left. Rear wing: timber-framed single bay. Interior: exposed timbers.
