GV II

Lodge, walls and piers. Early C19. Coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar plinth,
quoins and dressings; ashlar piers. Roof Welsh slate.

Lodge one storey, 3 bays, with central gabled porch containing open elliptical-
headed chamfered arch; 6-panelled door and overlight with lattice glazing bars
in pedimented architrave with corner paterae. Flanking cross windows in long-
and-short jambs, flat stone lintels and sills, with deep chamfer. Low-pitched
roof has octagonal end chimneys with plinths and cornices; bargeboards over
porch.

Serpentine walls have flat stone coping and end in panelled square corniced
piers, the central pier with ball finials. Flat-roofed rear addition to lodge
is not of interest.
