east corner of south porch, church
of St. Ethelbert

GV II

Pedestal tomb: early C19: stone. Square on plan. Slightly-
weathered lid with square, horizontally-ribbed edge, ribbing
stopped before corner. Above a flattened, square dome, cvma base
to urn, with horizontally-ribbed lip and curved, conical cap.
Detached, fluted columns at corners below; a slightly raised oval
panel on each face of main body for lettering: plain, square
plinth, all on a wide stone base formerly carrying railings.
