about 12m north-north-east of
north-east corner of tower,
Church of St. Peter and St. Paul

GV II

Pedestal tomb (tea caddy); Thomas Cadle, died 1790; stone.
Hexagonal, with minor projection to east and west. Small cyma
dome on steeply-swept base, splay and step to flat lid with moulded
edge. Plain frieze: east and west faces a large projecting
scroll as a buttress; remaining 4 faces rectangle with swelling
top for lettering formed by recessed line. All on a moulded base.
Original inscription has some italic lettering, copperplate
scrolling and long s's. Later inscriptions. One of a group of
Cadle monuments, 4 others listed (q.v.).
