Gate piers and quadrant walls. Early C19. Sandstone and limestone. Pair of piers
c 700 mm square and c4 metres high to large ball finial on square ogee finial,
moulded capping, and V-joint rusticated shafts to base; on each side wall quadrants
in squared and coursed limestone with flat sandstone capping, swept to square piers
at road side, c 700 mm square and projecting c 75 mm from wall face. Overall width
to outer piers c 13 metres, the upper (left) pier c 1.75 metres high, and the lower
c 2.75 metres high. No gates remained at time of survey, December 1983.
