TR 05 NW SHELDWICH NEW HOUSE

GV II

House. C16 extended early C19. Painted brick, at end right bay in English
bond. Slated roof with plain tiles to rear. Two storeys and basement on
plinth. Irregular junction of C16 English hand brick to right with early
C19 Flemish bond to left. Paired modillion eaves to hipped roof with
stacks to front left, rear left, and rear right. Three glazing bar sashes
with gauged heads on each floor. Half-glazed door to centre right with
attached Doric columns, and tented hood with valancing on posts. Three
basement openings. Brick mullioned windows survive on first floor and
basement on right return, and rear right. Interior: large inglenook in
C16 portion with double flue, otherwise C19 interiors, plain.
