2 shops. Early C18. Coursed squared limestone rubble, now
painted; Welsh slate roof; rebuilt brick left- and right-end
stacks. 2 storeys attic and cellar; 2-window range. First
floor has two chamfered stone mullion-and-transom windows with
iron casements; ground floor has two small matching C19 shop
fronts with pilaster strips, decorated console brackets
flanking frieze and moulded cornice, cornice to left now
obscured by shop sign; to right (No.46) single-pane window and
glazed door recessed to left in panelled reveal, opening to
cellar in stall riser; to left (No.48) similar but with 2-pane
window and opening to cellar now bricked up. One hipped dormer
with C20 window. Deep eaves has gutter supported on six curved
wrought-iron brackets, C18 or C19. INTERIORS not inspected.
