Farmhouse, now shops. C17, refaced and extended early C19;
stone cellars suggest incorporation of medieval structure.
Timber-frame with brick refacing; slate roof with brick stacks
to front and to rear of ridge and end stack. 2 storeys;
7-window range. Georgian style. 4-window range to left has 3
entrances with plain doorcases and bracketed open pediments,
that to right end is entry, that to left has overlight with
decorative glazing bars to 6-panel half-glazed door. Bow
windows to left of entrances have flush-panel aprons, panelled
pilasters and entablatures, small-paned glazing. 1st floor has
windows with sills, and brick flat arches over 16-pane sashes;
sundial to right end. Symmetrical 3-window range to right an
addition; entrance has similar doorcase; windows have sills,
and 16-pane sashes, central 1st-floor window has narrower
window with 8-pane sash. Rear has exposed timber-framing to
right end, brick wings, one with cross wing; timber-frame also
exposed to left return and to entry passage. INTERIOR:
chamfered beams; recorded as having stone cellar.
