Terrace of 5 houses. 1840s. Brick with buff headers and stucco
dressings; slate roof with 4 brick cross-axial stacks.
Georgian style. 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Top
brick cornice. Entrances, alternating with windows, have
moulded doorcases with paterae and cornices, overlights with
margin lights to 6-flush-panel doors; entry to right of centre
with blind overlight; but entrance to No.2 has C20 glazed door
and fanlight, that to No.5 has C20 half-glazed door and plain
overlight, that to No.6 has half-glazed door. Windows have
sills, and rusticated wedge lintels with keys over 16-pane
sashes; but No.2 has C20 casements, No.5 has 4-pane horned
sashes, and No.6 has C20 casements. Part of the early C19
development of the north part of Stratford, known as New Town.
