Terrace of 5 houses. 1840s. Brick with buff headers and stucco dressings; slate roof with 4 brick cross-axial stacks. Georgian style. 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Top brick cornice. Entrances, alternating with windows, have moulded doorcases with paterae and cornices, overlights with margin lights to 6-flush-panel doors; entry to right of centre with blind overlight; but entrance to No.2 has C20 glazed door and fanlight, that to No.5 has C20 half-glazed door and plain overlight, that to No.6 has half-glazed door. Windows have sills, and rusticated wedge lintels with keys over 16-pane sashes; but No.2 has C20 casements, No.5 has 4-pane horned sashes, and No.6 has C20 casements. Part of the early C19 development of the north part of Stratford, known as New Town. (Information from Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Record Office).
