Church of St Remigius

A Grade II* Listed Building in Long Clawson, Leicestershire

Effigy of a Crusader, Church of St Remigius, Long Clawson

Uploader's Comments

Stone effigy of cross legged knight, late C13, very worn, said to be William Bozon. The legs crossed higher than the ankle indicated that the knight had actually been on a crusade, or that he had paid for more than one. (Photo Jun 2015).
