Probably late C18. On the site of an earlier corn mill. The mill house
of 1 storey over basement has advanced gabled wing on right hand side
and 2 later windows. The mill, an attached wing on sloping ground to
rear, has 4 shallow storeys, a pointed-arched window with Gothick glazing
bars and small openings at various levels. The mill wheel on north side
is 39 ft in diameter and was made circa 1855 by Darby at Coalbrookdale
of cast and wrought-iron and perhaps the last of its type to have survived.
Restoration of the mill machinery, which worked until 1957, is being carried
out by the owner.
