Circa 1890.Planned by George Dawson and J H Hurst.but probably built posthumous to both.
3 storeys. 5 bay range of shops with 3 windows
to each bay; 2 windows over carriage entrance bay at west end. Slated roof.
Grit stone ashlar. Cornice surmounted by urns. Strings at 1st and 2nd floor
level. Each bay with enriched pilasters to each floor. Arched 2nd floor windows
with attached balusters and continuous impost band. Architraved 1st floor windows
with sashes. Ground floor with rusticated pilasters carrying entablature; shop
front with recessed entrances. Included for group value.

Nos 2 to 24 (even) and the Royal Baths form a group with the return of No 3 Crown Place.
