Formerly The Blue Bird PH. House, now 2 shops with offices over. Probably later
C17, much altered. Perhaps of timber-framed construction but now roughcast,
with red tile roof. Rectangular 2-unit plan. Two storeys and 2 bays, with attics;
modern shop fronts inserted at ground floor; sashed windows of 4 and 12 panes
at 1st floor; steeply-pitched roof with two 6-pane sashed dormers flanking a
chimney stack on the slope. (Flat-roofed addition to the rear, not of special
interest.) Interior altered. Forms visual group with The Dukes Head PH to the
right (q.v.), and is included for group value.
