Mileplate. Early C19. Cast iron. Rectangular plate set into
a drystone retaining wall and inscribed:"TO / ALTON / ABBEY / 2 ½
MILES". The mileplate is on a former drive beginning at Threapwood
Lodge (q.v.) and leading to Alton Towers (q.v. Farley C.P.) via
Pink Lodge (q.v. Farley C.P.).
