No 2 Bullhouse (formerly listed with the hall)

House, part of hall group. Dated 1676, the front rebuilt late C19 or early
C20. Coursed, squared dressed stone, coursed stone to rear. Stone slate
roof. Two storeys. Three bays. Quoins to right. Central Tudor-arched
doorway with moulded surround. The lintel is inscribed:
"A 29
1676"
Hoodmould above lintel. Slender blocked doorway to left. 4-pane sash
windows. Two ashlar stacks with moulded cornice. Rear: double-chamfered
windows. Cross-window to each floor to left. To right is a multiple-light
window of at least 5 lights (part-obscured by later lean-to addition) with a
further 2 lights to right, all under hoodmould. Similar window to 1st floor
of 4 + 2 + 4 lights separated by king mullions, again under hoodmould (some
blocked lights).
