Vine house. Probably early C19. Cast iron and glass and limestone ashlar.
5-sided iron structure, standing against gabled ashlar rear wall, has square
uprights decorated with vine patterns, transoms decorated with guilloche
ornament, and finials with honeysuckle. 3-bay front has pairs of wooden glazed
doors. Lean-to half-pryamid roof has narrow moulded cast-iron glazing bars,
bowed upwards. Interior: stanchions serve as downpipes and the transoms as
gutters. Dated 1790 in V.C.H.
