GV II

Farmhouse. Early/mid C18. Brick in Flemish bond with some flared headers; old
plain-tile roof with brick stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys plus attic. Symmetrical
3-window front, with stepped plinth, storey band and dentil eaves course, is in
chequer brickwork and has 4-pane sashes under segmental-arches; the central
doorway is concealed by a C20 porch. Both gable walls have parapets with shaped
stone kneelers and have large tapering chimney projections. 2 small gabled roof
dormers. Lower rear wing returns to left. Interior: open fireplace; central hall
has a stair with heavy turned balusters and a closed string.
