GV II
Providence chapel. Dated 1841. Limestone ashlar with raised
quoins, Welsh slate roof with coped verges. Gable end to road.
Two-storey, 3-window front. Central door with arched panels,
round-arched 12-pane sash with keystone and imposts either side.
Sill band to three first floor round-arched sashes, moulded cornice
to gable with plain square corner turrets, possibly stacks. Right
and left returns have two tall round-arched windows with keystone
and imposts, eaves on stone corbels. Rear 2-storey schoolroom with
16-pane sashes and planked door, hipped slate roof.
Interior has west gallery on cast-iron posts, reading desk at east
end.
