Probable merchant's house. Probably C17, front remodelled in
the C18. Incised stucco on studwork with simulated flat arches
with voussoirs, steep dry slate roof with moulded eaves
cornice; brick stack on the right. Deep plan including deep
C16 wing at right-angles. 3 storeys; 2-window range. Mid C19
paired 2-light hornless sashes within moulded wooden
architraves. Ground floor has large late C20 shop front plus
house doorway on the right with C20 six-panel door. INTERIOR:
shop altered late C20 but said to be an interesting fireplace
to 1st-floor chamber.
