Offices, formerly County Technical School. 1896. By Bailey and
Mc Connal. Red brick with stone dressings and slate roofs with
ridge stacks. Wrenaissance style. 3 storeys and basement;
7-window range of mullion and transom windows with glazing
bars facing Victoria Square. Either side central 2-light
window gables break forward and have tripartite windows with
pediments on both floors, 2-light windows above, 2-light
windows beyond and curving windows on the corners. Central
doorway with panelled door, fanlight, and stone doorcase with
columns supporting curved hood with cartouche within.
Entablature band above 1st floor windows and string courses.
Long facade to right, (Earl Street), an 11-window range has
similar detailing.
