Terraced houses. c.1820. Yellow brick set in Flemish bond,
stucco, most roofs obscured by parapet. Three storeys above
basement, except nos 82-4 which lack a basement, two windows
each. Round-arched entrance with gauged brick head, plain
doorcase, cornice and fanlight, with decorative glazing to nos
74-8 and panelled doors of original design to nos 72-82; no 72
has a side entrance in Braes Street with plain stucco
architrave. Ground floor of no 84 has been rendered.
Ground-floor windows round-arched with gauged brick heads;
first- and second-floor windows flat-arched with gauged brick
heads, sashes of original design to nos 72 (first floor), 74
(second floor), 76 (first and second floor), 78 (second
floor), 80 (second floor). Individual iron balconies to
first-floor windows. Parapet. Dormers in slated mansard roof
to no 82. Cast-iron railings to area.
