House. c1700, with C19 and C20 additions. Timber-framed and
plastered, brick, thatched and pantiled roofs. Plan L shaped.
One and a half storeys. Front E elevation: 4 window range with
projecting gabled porch, thatch over whole, C19 bead moulded
boarded door, fixed `Gothick' lancet light in porch sides.
Windows, 3 sliding sashes, 4x4 panes, one C20 casement
similar. 2 dormer `eyebrow' windows with early C20 2-light
casements. Stack contemporary with house. To N, single storey
pantiled range, C19, extended in C20, with one C19 sliding
sash 4x3 and one C20 segment headed casement window. S end
elevation: house with rear early C19 lean-to, continuous
thatch. Ground floor, C20 2-light casement window and rear
simple casement. Attic floor, C20 sliding sash window 4x3
panes. N end elevation: original rear house roof rafter and
wall plate exposed with C19 lean-to roof over. Attic floor,
C20 3-light casement window, fixed `Gothick' lancet light,
each side. To rear (lean-to) C20 top-hung casement window. C19
and C20 extension partly obscures ground floor. N end, C20
French window with side lights. Rear W elevation: obscured by
large C20 addition.
INTERIOR: not inspected but primary braced studding evident
and central stack has 2 back-to-back timber lintelled
fireplaces.
